Karole was born in the New York City borough of Queens, graduated from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics, and served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1966 - 1970 in San Antonio, where she and her husband Jim raised their daughters. She spent most of her professional career in Fortune 100 companies, conducting and managing operations and market research, earned a master's degree in engineering administration at ST. Mary's University in San Antonio, and continued her post masters education at the University Texas - Austin in mechanical Engineering. Now retired, Karole enjoys plaguing her grandchildren for graphics and tech support, haranguing politicians with advice she views as random acts of patriotism, and dabbling in the creation of nostalgic garb for children's eighteen inch playmates.
In July 2024 Karole published her first book, "New York City Boomers to the Burbs", a memoir about what it was like to be born on the leading edge of the baby boom moving from New York City to the newly established suburbs on Long Island. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBRTDWRD
